Mandatory disclosure thresholds

Under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), mandatory climate disclosure obligations are phased across three groups. Each group is determined by meeting at least 2 of 3 size criteria. Your answers here determine which group applies to your business.

Number of employees (end of financial year) *
Annual consolidated revenue *
Consolidated gross assets (end of financial year) *
Is your company required to prepare an annual financial report under Chapter 2M of the Corporations Act and meets the thresholds in s292A?

Governance & oversight

ASRS requires evidence of board-level climate governance. These questions explore how your organisation currently oversees climate and sustainability.

Do you have a sustainability, ESG or Climate Change committee? *
Who is this committee comprised of? Select all that apply
How often does it meet?
Are the meetings and decisions of your sustainability/ESG committee formally recorded?
How often does your board and senior leadership team meet to discuss climate and sustainability strategy?

Risk management & exposure

Understanding your climate risk exposure — and its relationship to financial performance — is central to ASRS disclosure. These questions explore where your business currently stands.

Do you maintain a company risk framework or risk register?
Have you documented any specific climate risks in your business?
Do you have a business continuity plan?
Do any of your employees conduct physical labour in their employment?
Do your employees work outside?
Where do most of your employees work?
Where are your company locations (offices and assets)? Select all that apply

Strategic climate integration

Climate change is reshaping markets, supply chains and competitive dynamics. These questions explore whether your business has begun to examine those intersections.

Have you considered how climate change could affect the cost or availability of your inputs, goods or services?
Have you considered the climate risk exposure of your supply chain and distribution networks?
Have you assessed the carbon intensity of how your products or services reach your customers?
Are you currently discussing climate implications with any of the following? Select all that apply
How would you describe your organisation's climate capability and culture?
Which of the following does your business rely on heavily? Select all that apply

Measurement & metrics

Measurement is the foundation of climate disclosure — but it's a means to an end, not the destination. These questions explore where your measurement foundations currently sit.

Do you measure Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions in your business?
Do you have carbon accounting software?
Do you understand the embedded carbon in your products and services?
Have you conducted an energy audit?
Do you have a lifecycle analysis for your products?
Are your products packaged?
Does your packaging contain plastic?
Do you provide climate and/or sustainability education or training to your staff?
